Plaque

Firstly, I put my plaque on the wall near the entrance of my drom and put a comment paper beside it. People came by and most of them stopped, watching, touching and wondering what it is. Because my theme is pretty clear, the DUKE-shaped hair and the words" Dream 2 Fly", they came to conclusion by themselves and left some positive comments.

Then, I hung it higher on the wall so people can see it while they are climbing the stairs. Maybe because they could not touch it, most people just looked at it and walked away.

But, all the people I talked to like the plaque as well as the idea to create an artwork by just one material.

Trophy Wives Commemorated

So these are the pictures from my plaque. I hung it outside of the bathroom in my hallway, which is right across the hall from my room. It was less creepy to sit at my desk and watch people with my door open and take pictures than anywhere else. The final version reads "Congratulations on your M.R.S. DEGREE!" at the top (under the shield), followed by a list of names, below which reads "Rolling Admissions." I got a good response basically as soon as I hung it up -- someone stopped and saw it and thought it was a new program in the dorm and then started laughing when she read it. A couple of people looked at it but didn't stop to read it, and I didn't have time to take pictures as they breezed by. A few people saw my door open and asked what I was doing and I had to explain that it was for an art class. In general I'd say that it got a pretty good response. Not sure that anyone noticed that there was an egg beater at the top though... Darn.

here's my "McDillo" plaque on a wall encasing the elevator that is located between McDonald's and the Dillo in the BC. the elevator is mentioned in my plaque write-up (located adjacent to the plaque). I'll bring the write-up in on Thursday; the general idea is that Ronald McDonald found an orphaned armadillo stranded in a highway embankment and the two of them decided to start a fusion restaurant.

RIP two brave benches

I put my plaque in the exact spot that we had the bonfire after the Carolina game. As soon as I walked away and sat on a bench to observe people and my plaque these two guys walked by and went straight to it to see what it said. A lot of people reacted in this way, many walking across the entire quad to see it and some yelling back to their friends about what it was.

This guy ran across the quad to read it.

plaque

i placed my plaque in wilson, by the hang out area around quenchers.  i found that a lot of people noticed it going by but wouldn't really stop long enough for me to take a picture unless i asked them to check it out.   but i think the people working at quenchers enjoyed it.   i got some feedback just holding it on the walk to the gym however.  "what is that for/ what IS that?"

Slippery When Wet

I ended up putting in the bathroom and putting water on the floor. I got some pretty funny responses. A lot of people laughed at it. The way I got good shots of people was I hid in the shower and had one of my friends tell people to go look at it. Then when they were not looking I got pictures of them. I did get a couple natural shots of people just washing their hands or heading to the bathroom which I posted as well. Here are the best shots.

Plaque!

Top Left -- a close up of my plaque.
Top Right-- I wasn't paying attention and all of a sudden some people approached the bench. I was caught off guard and just took the picture. After they were gone, I realized that I forgot to zoom in.

I put my plaque on the benches near Alpine. I did get some response as you can see. Most people just passed by and read "BENCH USE LIMIT 10 MIN. TOWING ENFORCED." One guy even read it out loud.
